About the author

Greetings! I’m Dr. Zoinks - part wizard, part storyteller, and full-time capybara enthusiast. For years, I’ve been doodling a certain gentle little capybara in the corners of spellbooks, napkins, and stargazing charts. One rainy afternoon, I whispered a bit too much magic into my sketch... and he blinked right back at me.
Now, I spend my days bringing his adventures to life in The Capyverse - a cozy world of puddle-splashing, scarf-wearing wonder. Whether you’re young or simply young at heart, I hope these stories bring you the same warmth and joy they’ve brought me (and my plush capybara companion, who insists on cocoa breaks between every chapter).

- Reviewed in the United States on July 1, 2025Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis heartwarming capybara adventure gently explores the anxiety kids often feel when settling into a new home. Through soft, inviting artwork and a comforting tone, it encourages young readers to be brave, look around, and discover the beauty and excitement waiting in unfamiliar places. The capybara character is especially endearing, calm, curious, and easy for children to connect with as they navigate change. A wonderful pick for families preparing for a big move.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2025Format: KindleVerified PurchaseCapybara Move to a New Home is a gentle story about learning to accept change and see the beauty that a new place can bring. The illustrations are soft and soothing, which makes a perfect fit for a book written to help a young child cope with and accept moving. There are positives to change that are not always seen, and this book provides a good example of how to notice them and how it can change one's opinion. While I do like the illustrations, I would have liked to see wider images that show more scenery. Most of the pictures are close-ups of Capybara. That is okay, but if the theme is to show the acceptance of a new home, I would have liked to see more of it. However, overall this book is very good.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2025Format: KindleBook was read to my young nephew and they loved it. The illustrations are very cute and the story is short but simple. A great bedtime story for younger children especially if they are also going through the same experience of moving to a new home for the first time. I'd say it would be better for very younger children though. Slightly older children may find it too simple. It also includes some cute coloring pages in the same art style that my nephew enjoyed as well.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2025Format: KindleThis book would be pleasant for a small child just beginning to understand their surroundings. It is basically a list of feel good statements based around a very loosely threaded plot, that seem's somewhat random. The artwork is friendly and seems as though it would be stimulating for a child of 3 years or so, and for that I would give it a 4 but it lacks any draw to being interactive and the storyline is undeveloped. With a listed price of almost 9 dollars, it feels as though it was quickly put together in an attempt to target purchases from a specific market. With the storyline being a 2, I would put it as an average score of 3 stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2025Format: KindleLoved it! fantastic art great story capybara are the best creatures on earth. I'm so glad some one is writing children's books about them. I enjoyed the art work the story is nice. It has a nice message about accepting change and is very relatable. I really like how the character looks like it would fit in perfectly with Winnie the pooh and his friends
- Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2025Format: KindleVerified PurchaseDespite its brevity, Capybara Moves to a New Home tells a heartfelt tale of adaptation and discovery. Initially saddened by a move, Capybara takes a leap of faith, explores his surroundings, and ultimately finds unexpected charm in his new home.
